The news media was OUTRAGED because this guy had an extra marital affair.
The same news media had no problem with blow jobs in the closet off the Oval Office.
The same news media didn’t see anything wrong with Barney Frank’s boyfriend running a male prostitute ring out of the house where they both lived. Neither did the House Ethics Committee.
If Senator Ensign had been a Democrat, Cynthia and Doug Hampton would have been charged with blackmail and, if they happened to be Republicans, boiled in oil in the press.
Now I am not saying that what is good for the goose is good for the gander, I am saying that the outrage should be applied equally. Anything else is just propaganda.
Just imagine if Gov. Blaggo had been a Republican… What if William Jefferson (D) Louisiana (remember him? The guy with $90,000 in bribe money wrapped up in his freezer.)? What if the (D) after his name would have been an (R)? The newsies and left wingers would still be talking about it (and both he and Blaggo would be in jail).
What if George Bush had installed a current KKK member as part of his senior staff. Imagine the headlines!!!!
But to post a member of the Black Panthers to your White House staff gets a wink and a nod from the press. Post an avowed Communist and the press gives it a passing glance. When Van Jones is forced to resign because of the Glenn Beck outing, the NY Times puts it on page A-32. The major media outlets failed to mention it at all.
My point? When did the forth estate become a fifth column?
It’s the same fire, hold ALL their feet to it.
If your news outlet does not report the news without blatant bias, let them know why you no longer patronize them.
